He was Coordinator of the Undergraduate Course in Forestry Engineering (1989-1990), Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Forest Sciences (2002-2004; 2013-2015, 2019-2021), Pro-Rector of Planning at UFRPE (2004-2008) and Visiting Professor at the University of Córdoba-Spain (April-May/2010).

Prof. Dr. Lin Cao is a Professor in the Co-Innovation Center for Sustainable Forestry in Southern China and the College of Forestry and Grassland, College of Water and Soil Conservation, Nanjing Forestry University. He is mainly engaged in research on remote sensing monitoring of forest resources, precision forest cultivation, and biodiversity monitoring.

He holds a degree in Forest Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR, 2010) with supplementary training at the University of Freiburg/Germany, a Master's degree (2012) and a PhD (2017) in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE). His current research focuses on the monitoring and quantification of forest resources through remote sensing and forest inventories.

Associate Professor at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. His work focuses on the development and application of optical measurement techniques.
